Terms and conditions

Version of 21 October 2026

1. Scope

These terms govern every contract between Maskow Softwares UG (haftungsbeschränkt) ("we", "us") and the customer ("you") about licences for the software products offered on this website, in particular Laravel Livewire Basic Components. Conflicting terms of the customer do not apply unless we agree to them in writing.

2. Subject of the contract

We grant you a licence to use the purchased software package and give you access to our private Composer repository for the duration of the licence. The software is provided as source code and is intended to be integrated into your own applications.

3. Conclusion of contract

The presentation of plans on this website is not a binding offer. You order a licence by e-mail to backoffice@maskow.io, stating the plan and the account the licence is to be issued to. Your order is a binding offer. The contract comes into existence when we confirm the order by e-mail or when we make the licence key available in your account, whichever happens first.

4. Licence grant

You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the software. One licence covers exactly one application. An application is one piece of software with one production deployment; its staging, test and local environments are covered by the same licence. A second application requires a second licence. The plans differ in whether commercial use is permitted and in how many developers may work on that one application.

Regardless of plan:

  • You may modify the source code for use within your own applications and you may deploy the resulting applications.
  • You may not resell, sublicense, publish or otherwise redistribute the software or any substantial part of it as a standalone product, a component library or a template, whether free of charge or not.
  • You may not share your licence key or your Composer credentials with anyone outside your organisation. Every developer receives their own key through the seats included in your plan.

5. Commercial and non-commercial use

The plans differ in one decisive respect, and it is the buyer's responsibility to pick the correct one.

Non-commercial use means use that neither directly nor indirectly serves the generation of income. This covers learning, personal side projects that generate no revenue, prototypes, and contributions to open source software. The Developer plan is limited to non-commercial use and confirming this is a condition of purchase.

Commercial use means every other use, in particular software that is sold, licensed or operated as a service, work created for or delivered to a client, and software a company uses for its own business operations. Commercial use requires a Business or Enterprise licence.

If an application licensed under the Developer plan begins to be used commercially, you must upgrade to a commercial plan without undue delay. Continued commercial use under a Developer licence entitles us to charge the fee of the applicable commercial plan for the entire period of unlicensed use and to revoke the licence under section 13.

6. Licences included in an engagement

While Maskow Softwares UG develops or maintains an application for you under a separate agreement, that application may use the software at no additional charge. We issue a licence marked "Managed" for this purpose.

This licence is tied to the engagement and is not a purchase. It ends when the engagement ends, for whatever reason and irrespective of who ends it. From that moment the application requires a Business or Enterprise licence in order to receive further updates and to keep access to the private Composer repository. Versions obtained during the engagement may continue to be used under section 5 and section 7.

There is no entitlement to the continuation of a Managed licence and no entitlement to a discount on a subsequent commercial licence.

7. Term, renewal and cancellation

Licences are sold for a term of one year. The term begins when the contract comes into existence and renews automatically for another year unless cancelled before the end of the current term. You can cancel at any time without giving a reason, with effect from the end of the paid period, by e-mail to backoffice@maskow.io.

After a licence expires you may continue to use every version of the software you were entitled to download during the term, for an unlimited time. You will no longer receive updates and your access to the private Composer repository ends.

8. Prices and payment

All prices are stated net of value added tax. We invoice the licence fee for each term in advance. You receive the invoice by e-mail; it shows the applicable VAT and is payable within the period stated on it.

If an invoice is not paid on time, we may suspend access to the private Composer repository until it is settled. Versions you already installed are not affected.

9. Right of withdrawal

Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal. Details, including how the right expires for digital content delivered immediately, are set out in our withdrawal policy.

10. Updates and support

During the term of your licence you receive all updates we publish for the purchased product. We answer support requests by e-mail at support@maskow.io. We do not owe a specific response time and we do not owe the development of individual features.

11. Warranty

The statutory warranty provisions apply. The software is provided in the condition described in the documentation on this website. We do not warrant that the software is free of defects or that it fits a purpose that we have not expressly confirmed.

12. Liability

We are liable without limitation for damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. In the case of slight negligence we are only liable for the breach of an essential contractual obligation, and the liability is limited to the damage that is typical for this type of contract and foreseeable at the time the contract was concluded. Any further liability is excluded.

13. Termination for cause

We may revoke a licence without notice if it is used in breach of section 4 or 5, in particular if the licence key or the repository credentials are shared publicly. In that case there is no claim to a refund of payments already made.

14. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms with effect for future contract periods. You will be informed of any change at least six weeks before it takes effect. If you object before the change takes effect, the contract ends at the end of the current term.

15. Applicable law and jurisdiction

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction is Eckental, Germany.

16. Severability

Should individual provisions of these terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is not affected.
